Maple Greenhouses Ltd. was started by William Blyleven and Ken Zantingh (Williams Brother In-Law). We started the business in 1996, growing approximately 20 different varieties of annuals to sell to our wholesale customers. At that time, we had 26,000 sq. ft. under plastic. Over the years we have expanded, increasing our greenhouse to 78,000 sq ft and growing more then 40 different varieties of annuals. We have recently expanded Maple Greenhouses to allow us to add another 22,000 sq. ft; 7,500 of that is our Garden Centre, Maple Greenhouses & Garden Market. Opening our own Garden Centre on site has been a dream of the families for many years. William and Valerie purchased a small farm in the fall of 1992, which has allowed for Maple Greenhouses to continue to grow and where the Garden Centre is now located.

We are a small family run business that is centered around serving God. At the end of 2021 Ken retired from Maple Greenhouses. William and Valerie have 4 children. Dawn is the eldest daughter in the family and she works part-time in all areas of the greenhouse. Cody, the oldest son spent many years in the greenhouse but has recently moved with his family onto a different career path. You will then find Katelyn in the Garden Center with her years of experience in the greenhouse and customer service industry. Lucas is the youngest son and is currently the Manager of the greenhouses/wholesale side of the business, working with William as his right-hand man. William continues his years of knowledge and expertise working in both the garden center as well as the greenhouse and in the office alongside his children and his wife. We are very grateful to be able to work as a family.

The quality of our product is what we are most proud of. With our many years’ experience growing a variety of annuals, perennials, vegetable and herb plants we are so thrilled to be able to expand our horizons and supply many more gardening items to our community. Over the last few years, we have also began growing hydroponic lettuce and herbs. We currently sell our lettuce to our whole sale customers however we are very excited to announce we will be carrying lettuce in our Garden Market as well. We are very delighted to have these many blessings and are so thankful to God for the opportunities He has given us. We look forward to seeing what the future has in store.
